I blew my cover at the Aurora Farmers Market. Then really what cover? I never had one I just never told anyone what I do and who I am – I just take candid photos and then I write footage on my blog.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

We missed the 2012 grand opening of the Aurora Farmers Market last week but not yesterday. There is always something for everyone to buy to bring home, eat at the site, gather to chat and enjoy time with children at the market.

We usually have our own routine. Our routine is to walk around, look around, have some hot popping popcorn and then playtime with Matthew at the playground. Yes, and take photos as well.

Cracklin' Kettle Corn, Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

We finally arrived at the scene just before lunch. Its like having deja vu. Nothing changed since last year, same guys, same yellow red colors and same great and delicious kettle popcorn at the same Cracklin’ Kettle Corn stand. And they never fail to offer you a free sample even if you are returning customer and know how good it is.

This year it will be different because we got to know who’s behind the popping popcorn, Johnmark Cooper and Steven Ratnik.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

Well before we got our popcorn few questions, few answers, one conclusion – ‘We know who you are?‘ Then there were few more questions, few more answers, photo shoot and then we finally got our popcorn.

Well I have my own conclusion. Something tells me that these guys know more than just the popcorn business. Too many technical questions.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

Why not share some answers in here.

The Living in Aurora blog was first created in Blogger in August 2009. March 2011 I migrated to the WordPress platform and everything else flourished since then. I have about 1400 visits and over 3000 page views per month.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

Visitors are mostly from Aurora and surroundings but I do get visitors beyond Ontario or even Canada. Once in the blue moon someone from Asia pays me a visit searching for Aurora Ontario – strange but true. I have about 50 subscribers via email and feeds. Site is bullet proof and my spam box rarely fills. The rule for this blog is ‘Aurora only‘.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

Overall I must say that it was a very good year and I am happy with my results just like farmer’s market is probably satisfied with theirs. People were coming and coming and going.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

Now back to some of my photo observations. It was so refreshing to see a child eating cucumber, something you rarely see. It was so refreshing to see someone biking to the market – or may be he was just cutting through?

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

And the aroma, which was hard to photograph, flowing in the air from the Big Grill made us eat bag of popcorn just behind their booth.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

One of these days we will have breakfast, snack, exercise at the playground and lunch at the market. Its going on the second year and our trips to the market are getting better and better.

Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

It is also place for children. May be one day Matthew will talk about how we took him to the market as I sometimes talk about my parents taking us to the local fairs – my favorite buy were lolly pops and cotton candy.

'I am going back', Aurora Farmers Market 2012, Town Park

All this writing and I just noticed that there is a slight change in the name for the Aurora Farmers Market. Town of Aurora calls it now the Aurora Farmers’ Market & Artisan Fair.

That is fair fair fair.
