Only The Unleashed Wildlife Allowed In Sheppard’s Bush, Unless Dogs Are

Only The Unleashed Wildlife Allowed In Sheppard’s Bush, Unless Dogs Are

I just wish that Town of Aurora posted fines on their signs throughout the town and enforced them for walking with unleashed dogs and for dogs pooping and owners not scooping after their dogs.

Please please learn from your neighbors and visit the Fairy Lake or Tim Taylor Trail in Newmarket. They got something right.

Dogs Must Be Leashed

We were on our way out from the Sheppard’s Bush on Sunday afternoon. A man with a very nice big white dog walked by. The dog sniffed and walked away. The dog was not on the leash.

Few minutes later as we were exiting the Sheppard’s Bush, another man was just walking in with a dog. I will not describe but I will leave series of pictures here to your interpretation.

Obviously lot of dog owners do not know how to interpret the signs. May be we should all change them to ‘Only Unleashed Wildlife Is Allowed‘ and ‘Do Not Scoop After Wildlife‘.

Kidding aside, do you think this is right?

I am living in Aurora and this is my photo journal blog. A picture says 1000 words - but not always, so I write. You don't have to travel 1000 miles to find a treasure - all I have to do is zoom through my lens and I will find it for you here in Aurora.

  1. I’m with you Anna! It’s not just the messy poop. It’s the aggressive dogs too! I’ve had to literally kick the odd dog that has charged aggressively at my leashed dog. Many other less aggressive ones I’ve had to grab by the collar and hold away from my dog. Quite a stretch of the arms, I’ll say! Oh, and no word of apology from the offending dogs’ owners .. either averted eyes, quietly claiming their dor or over the top with verbal abuse! Too many uneducated and uncaring dog-owners.

  2. Barry, you are right many uneducated and uncaring dog owners. I shall add, ignorant. These are some crazy incidences.
Something needs to be done … my sidewalk issue is now completed, this shall be next. I will be accumulating evidences :).
On the side note, my issue is that dogs smell fear in me. I think I have gotten better lately because they don’t charge at me as they used to.
Having Matthew with me actually scares me. I had some big dogs growling at me, and they were unleashed.
    Thanks for commenting,
    Anna :)

  3. Our town has a strong movement to shut down the dog beach, because the dog owners don’t clean up, don’t keep their dogs on a leash, and they don’t stay on the dog beach (they wander up and down the beach where they’re not allowed). Dog owners just don’t care. So I think they should be banned from public places, myself.

  4. Town would never do that here.
They need customers and unfortunately many of them have dogs.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Marvin.
    Anna :)
